My Mission

Providing healers & protectors with Hope through education; empowering all frontliners with tools to enhance vitality by preventing and alleviating burnout and trauma

Healers and protectors are courageous people who are simply trying to make the world a better place. These helping professionals frequently witness deep suffering, sometimes even death. Jamie partners with medical workers, first responders, military, veterans, police, firefighters, and other frontliners in private practice and in conjunction with organizations looking to incorporate mindbody tools into their wellness programming.

Why Healers and Protectors?

After years working with many vulnerable and underserved populations, Jamie came to the conclusion that her impact could be greater by empowering those who help others. For every doctor, nurse, EMT or paramedic she helps, she is also helping their patients, as well as their friends and families. When functioning at their best capacity, every military officer, police officer or firefighter can be more effective protecting themselves and the communities they serve. Because each of these populations has taken it upon themselves to care for others, they should also benefit from receiving care themselves. Statistically, these populations have low amounts of self-care skills incorporated into their occupational training, are at high risk for firsthand and vicarious trauma, and may not utilize resources provided by their employers for fear of stigma.

What is Integrative Wellness?

Integrative wellness is a combination of allopathic/evidence-based and complementary healing techniques. While the terms Eastern and Western medicine have been used in the past, appropriate vocabulary emphasizes that evidence-based techniques and techniques not yet proven by science may come from anywhere in the world. Complementary methods like acupuncture have been shown to be effective, but from an allopathic standpoint we don’t yet know why or how. Jamie’s methods do not include alternative techniques which have been disproven.
